Search engine optimization or SEO is the best way to drive traffic to your website. Whenever you decide to SEO your site, it is a good idea to hire a SEO professional because they can maximize the process and get the best results for you. The benefits of a well optimized website will bring you huge results in the long run.
Optimizing your site might cost you thousands of dollars if you are not skilled in this area. However you can find information on low cost SEO anywhere in the Internet. But even if you are not skilled in search engine optimization, there are a few things things you can do on your own.
1. Link exchanges
One cheap SEO method that can get you best results is through link exchanges or linking to and from other web sites. Depending on the websites that you would like to exchange links with, this could even cost you nothing at all. Get in contact the owner or webmaster of the site you want to exchange links with. You will be surprised how this can improve your page ranking.
2. Write or acquire keyword rich articles
Writing keyword-rich articles that are rich in information is one definite way to make your blog more visible than ever. You can either you write your own articles, which is best or you get them from article directories with authors that allow you to post these articles on your blog as long as you keep the resource box or the author’s information somewhere on the post. Just don’t use this as your main option for filling your site with content and don’t overdue it with boring, keyword filled articles. The originality of your articles surely keep readers coming back to your website.
3. Catchy Domain Name
This is a real good way to make your visitors remember your website. Choose something that deals with you website’s content and keep it short and to the point.
4. Organize your site navigation
Giving the readers of your website an easy way to navigate around your site will improve the traffic flow of the site. A big turnoff to readers and a huge reason why they do not stay on your site for long is confusion with your navigation. If you do not provide a clear way for them to move around your site they will move on to another site and most likely not return to yours.
Low cost SEO is always changing. Come to think of it the web is always changing. There are many SEO methods that can land you in the top ten rankings of Google or on any other search engines.
